Canon 924

With regard to collegial acts, unless other provisions have been

expressly made in law: (1) that has force of law which, when

the majority of those who must be summoned are present, is decided by an absolute majority of those who are present; when the

votes are equal, the person presiding can break the tie with his

or her vote; (2) however, if acquired rights of individuals are

affected, the consent of each of these is required; (3) concerning elections, can. 956 is to be observed.
