Canon 933

A juridic act placed because of ignorance or error concerning an

element which constitutes its substance or which amounts to a

condition sine qua non is invalid; otherwise it is valid, unless

the law makes some other provision. However, a juridic act

placed out of ignorance or error can be the occasion for a rescissory action in accordance with the norm of law.
