Canon 955

1. Before the election begins at least two tellers are to be

designated from the membership of the group. 2. The tellers

are to gather the ballots, determine in the presence of the presiding officer that the number of ballots is the same as the

number of electors, read the ballots themselves and announce

clearly how many votes each person received. 3. If the number

of ballots does not equal the number of electors the vote is invalid. 4. The ballots are to be destroyed immediately after

each ballot or after each session if several ballots have been

held in the same session. 5. The secretary is to record accurately all the acts of the election and after they have been

read to the electors they are to be signed by at least the secretary, the presiding officer and the tellers and be carefully

preserved in the archive of the group.
