1. A resignation which requires acceptance takes effect after acceptance of the resignation has been communicated to the person resigning; if, however, acceptance of the resignation has not been communicated to the person resigning within three months the resignation lacks all effect. 2. A resignation can be withdrawn by the one resigning as long as it has not yet been accepted. 3. The authority is not to accept a resignation which is not based on a just and proportionate cause.
