Canon 1002

The superior authority must issue a decree by which the recourse

is decided within sixty days of receipt of the recourse unless

the particular law of the proper Church sui iuris states otherwise; if it is not done and the person making recourse petitions

in writing that the decree be made, from the thirtieth day after

receipt of the petition, if still nothing is done, the recourse

is considered rejected as if it was rejected on that day by a

decree, and a new recourse can be proposed against him.
