Canon 1122

1. Counter-claim actions cannot be lodged validly except within

thirty days from the joinder of issues (litis contestatio). 2.

Counter-claims, however, are to be adjudicated at the same time

as the principal actions, that is, on the same grade of trial

with it unless it is necessary to try them separately or the

judge deems it more appropriate to try them separately.
