Canon 1212

1. A party legitimately interrogated must answer and tell the

whole truth, unless by answering an offense committed by that

party would be revealed. 2. But if a party has refused to

answer, it is for the judge to evaluate what can be drawn from

that refusal concerning the proof of the facts.
