Canon 1223

A private document, whether acknowledged by a party or recognized

by the judge has the same probative force against the author or

signer as that deriving from an extra-judicial confession;

against others it's probative force is to be evaluated by the

judge together with other aspects of the case but it cannot be

given full probative force unless there are other elements which

fully corroborate it.
