Canon 1287

1. It is absolutely forbidden that information given to the

judge by the parties or the advocates or other persons remain

outside the acts of the case. 2. If the discussion of the case

has been done in writing, the judge can determine that moderate

oral debate take place before the tribunal to elucidate certain

questions.
