Canon 1294

A sentence must: (1) settle the controversy discussed before

the tribunal with an appropriate response given to each one of

the questions; (2) settle what obligations of the parties arise

from the trial and how they must be fulfilled; (3) set fourth

the reasons, that is, the motives both in law and in fact on

which the dispositive section of the sentence is based; (4) make

a determination about judicial expenses.
