Canon 413

Religious institutes are subject with respect to internal rule

and religious discipline, unless law provides otherwise, directly

and exclusively to the Apostolic See if they are of pontifical

right; if they are of patriarchal or eparchial right, they are

directly subject to the patriarch or eparchial bishop, with due

regard for can. 418, 2.
