Canon 467

1. A candidate for perpetual monastic profession must, within

sixty days prior to the profession, renounce in favor of whomever

the candidate prefers all goods which he or she actually possesses on condition that the profession subsequently takes place; a

renunciation made before this time is by the law itself invalid.

2. As soon as the profession has been made, all necessary steps

shall be taken at once in order that the renunciation become

effective also in civil law.
