Canon 770

The ordaining bishop with legitimate dimissorial letters, by

which it is asserted that the candidate is worthy of receiving a

sacred order, can agree to this attestation, but is not bound to;

if indeed in conscience he considers the candidate not to be

worthy, he should not ordain him.
