Canon 859 1. A non-baptized man who at the same time has several non-baptized wives, after having received baptism in the Catholic Church, if it is difficult to remain with the first, can keep one of them while dismissing the others; the same is true for a non-baptized woman, who at the same time has several non-baptized husbands. 2. In this case the marriage is to be celebrated according to the form prescribed by law while observing the other requirements of law. 3. After considering the moral, social, and economic conditions of the place and of the persons, the local hierarch is to take care that sufficient provision is made in accordance with the norms of justice, charity, and equity for the needs of those who are dismissed.
