Canon 1008

1. The Roman Pontiff is the supreme administrator and steward

of all ecclesiastical goods. 2. Under the supreme authority of

the Roman Pontiff, ownership of temporal goods of the Church

belongs to that juridic person which has lawfully acquired them.
