 1 Pref  |        made me blind in my own cause, I have praised folly, but
 2 Pref  | defends his client, though the cause many times be none of the
 3 Praise|      for a reproach; for which cause, since in truth they are
 4 Praise|        name of goddess without cause, you shall in the next place
 5 Praise|    which, and that not without cause, they prefer before everything,
 6 Praise|       it? Nor does she without cause supply me the place of a
 7 Praise|      therefore and not without cause do men have them in such
 8 Praise|      conjunction. And for this cause is it that we have as many
 9 Praise| material, efficient, and final cause of baptism, nor made the
10 Praise|      jest. Nor are you without cause, since even among divines
11 Praise|        Horace. And not without cause, for when were the Grecian
12 Praise|    flattery, excess; for which cause he should the more diligently
13 Praise|        truly are; and for that cause their master defines philosophy
14 Praise|    conceive ’tis from the same cause that the like often happens
15 Praise|       and spiritual. For which cause there’s so great contrarity
