1 I  |      hastily seized, added its sound to the murmur of the players,
2 II |     somewhere a kind of sawing sound, feeble, monotonous, and
3 II | parents. A distant, continuous sound of voices, a heavy, scolding
4 II |      dancing, capering, to the sound of a piano which was groaning—
5 II |       and certain happiness.~A sound behind her made her turn
6 III|       darkness. Then a far-off sound, heavy and feeble, like
7 III|     came from afar, a confused sound, like that of the wind in
8 IV |       in the distance like the sound of a disappearing train.~
