 2 1|     their love and desire of the salvation of their souls by the infliction
 3 1|     Christians and procure their salvation, why then do they suffer
 4 1|        of the Church, and to the salvation of souls, than any conscientious
 5 1|          the Church, and for the salvation of souls—burning I say,
 6 1|      never so obstructive of the salvation of souls; yet, nevertheless,
 7 1|          cause another man—whose salvation he heartily desires—to expire
 8 1|          like the Captain of our salvation, they sincerely desired
 9 1|     manner to be extended to the salvation of souls, these following
10 1|      abandon the care of his own salvation as blindly to leave to the
11 1|    indeed great obstacles to our salvation. For in this manner, instead
12 1|         truth, and procure their salvation. I grant it; but this is
13 1|          can be available to the salvation of souls, unless the truth
14 1|     third place, the care of the salvation of men’s souls cannot belong
15 1|          that help at all to the salvation of their souls. For there

24 1|     charity, and concern for the salvation of men’s souls, men cannot
25 1|          take care of—I mean the salvation of their souls; nor in this
26 1|    business of the Church is the salvation of souls, and it no way
27 1|          to God and man, for the salvation of their souls! If the magistrate
28 1|  understand little of the way of salvation. And if he does it not in
29 1|           the care of each man’s salvation belongs only to himself.
30 1|       promoting of another man’s salvation. But all force and compulsion
31 1|       reference to their eternal salvation, and that is that every
32 1|   commonwealth, the other to the salvation of souls—it is impossible
