Analect
1 4 | ancients did not readily give utterance to their words,
2 5 | to hear their words, and give them credit for their conduct.
3 5 | in regard to the aged, to give them rest; in regard to
4 6 | mother. The Master said, "Give her a fu." Yen requested
5 6 | fu." Yen requested more. "Give her a yi," said the Master.
6 6 | decline them. May you not give them away in the neighborhoods,
