2 I| gotten many children tofore Cain, but after another fifteen
3 I| and thirty years of age, Cain slew Abel his brother. Truth
4 I| Truth it is, after many days Cain and Abel offered sacrifice
5 I| tithes and first fruits. Cain offered fruits, for he was
6 I| acceptable to our Lord; and as to Cain his sacrifices, God beheld
7 I| of Abel, and the gifts of Cain pleased not our Lord, for
8 I| the light of God. Whereof Cain had great envy unto his
9 I| void on the earth. This Cain deserved well to be cursed,
10 I| slaughter of his brother. Then Cain, dreading that beasts should
11 I| soon, for whosoever slayeth Cain shall be punished seven
12 I| whosomever shall slay seventh Cain shall loose seven vengeances.
13 I| fugitive and vagabond. Cain knew his wife which bare
14 I| generation be not said, whom Cain called to his city, by whose
15 I| time by adventure he slew Cain. For Cain was alway afeard
16 I| adventure he slew Cain. For Cain was alway afeard and hid
17 I| to shoot at a beast, slew Cain. And when he knew that he
18 I| he knew that he had slain Cain, he with his bow slew the
19 I| therefore as the sin of Cain was punished seven sithes,
20 I| slayeth me, than he that slew Cain. ~After that Abel was slain,
21 I| when Abel was slain and Cain fled away, Adam thought
22 I| as in the generation of Cain the seventh was the worst,
23 I| of men, that is to say of Cain, and were overcome by concupiscence
24 III| that same day of the month Cain slew Abel his brother. Also
