 1    IV|      followeth the Life of S. Swithin, Bishop. ~S. Swithin, the
 2    IV|       S. Swithin, Bishop. ~S. Swithin, the holy confessor, was
 3    IV|     at that time this holy S. Swithin served our Lady so devoutly
 4    IV|     through the counsel of S. Swithin. And when Elmeston the Bishop
 5    IV|       of Winchester was dead, Swithin was made Bishop there after
 6    IV|     down, or was in decay, S. Swithin would anon amend it at his
 7    IV|       much. God cease it. ~S. Swithin guided full well his bishopric,
 8    IV|   died this blessed bishop S. Swithin. And when he should die,
 9    IV|   that these two holy Saints, Swithin and Edward, should be worshipfully
10    IV|     that, ye shall find on S. Swithin's grave two rings of iron
11    IV|    opening of the grave of S. Swithin, such a sweet odour and
12    IV| merits of this holy saint, S. Swithin, to whom let us pray that
