1 I| powder, after this that Abraham saith in Genesis: I shall
2 I| Here followeth the Life of Abraham. ~The Sunday called Quinquagesima
3 I| history of the holy patriarch Abraham which was the son of Terah.
4 I| more be called Abram, but Abraham, for I have ordained thee
5 I| their God. Yet said God to Abraham: And thou shalt keep thy
6 I| peoples shall come of him. Abraham fell down on his face toward
7 I| before thee. Our Lord said to Abraham, Sarah shall bring forth
8 I| these words were finished Abraham took Ishmael his son and
9 I| he was circumcised, and Abraham was ninety-nine years when
10 I| After this on a time, as Abraham sat beside his house in
11 I| also that I should bear Abraham a child? She thought it
12 I| impossible. Then said our Lord to Abraham: Why laugheth Sarah thy
13 I| laughedst. When they had rested Abraham conveyed them on the way.
14 I| way. And our Lord said to Abraham: I have not hid from thee
15 I| vengeance and destroy them. Then Abraham said: I hope, Lord, thou
16 I| I shall spare them. And Abraham said: Good Lord, if there
17 I| then our Lord went from Abraham, and he returned home again.
18 I| abideth so unto this day. Abraham arose in the morning early,
19 I| these cities he remembered Abraham, and delivered Lot from
20 I| Ammonites unto this day. ~Abraham departed from thence and
21 I| sore. Also Abimelech called Abraham and said to him: What hast
22 I| sawest thou for to do so? Abraham said: I thought that the
23 I| and maidens, and gave to Abraham, and delivered to him Sarah
24 I| remember that thou wert taken. Abraham prayed for Abimelech and
25 I| Abimelech for Sarah the wife of Abraham. Our Lord then visited Sarah,
26 I| time that God had promised. Abraham called his son that she
27 I| as God had commanded, and Abraham was then an hundred years
28 I| weaned from the pap, and Abraham made a great feast at the
29 I| her son Isaac, she said to Abraham: Cast out this handmaid
30 I| heir with my son Isaac. Abraham took this word hard and
31 I| for he is of thy seed. Abraham rose early in the morning,
32 I| prince of his host, unto Abraham: Our Lord is with thee in
33 I| dwelled as a stranger. And Abraham said, I shall swear. And
34 I| these things God tempted Abraham, and said to him: Abraham,
35 I| Abraham, and said to him: Abraham, Abraham. He answered and
36 I| and said to him: Abraham, Abraham. He answered and said: I
37 I| shall show to thee. Then Abraham arose in the night, and
38 I| wilt thou, my son? said Abraham, and he said: Lo! here is
39 I| sacrifice that shall be offered? Abraham answered: My son, God shall
40 I| him from heaven saying: Abraham, Abraham, which answered:
41 I| heaven saying: Abraham, Abraham, which answered: I am here,
42 I| spared thine only son for me. Abraham looked behind him, and saw
43 I| seeth. The angel called Abraham the second time saying:
44 I| for thou obeyedst to me. Abraham then returned to his servants,
45 I| land of Canaan; for whom Abraham made sorrow and wept, and
46 I| worshipfully in a double spelunke. ~Abraham was an old man, and God
47 I| from whence thou camest? Abraham said: Beware that thou lead
48 I| saying: Lord God of my lord Abraham, I beseech thee to help
49 I| and do mercy unto my lord Abraham. Lo! I stand here nigh by
50 I| showest thy mercy to my lord Abraham. He had not fully finished
51 I| wife of Nahor, brother of Abraham, came out of the town, having
52 I| returned. The servant of Abraham ran to her and said: I pray
53 I| followed the servant of Abraham which hastily returned unto
54 I| that he had for his mother. Abraham after this wedded another
55 I| he had divers children. Abraham gave to Isaac all his possessions,
56 I| the days of the life of Abraham were one hundred and seventy-five
57 I| to thee the blessings of Abraham, and to thy seed after thee,
58 I| daughter of Ishmael, son of Abraham. ~Then Jacob departed from
59 I| him: I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and of Isaac;
60 I| Jacob: O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac,
61 I| The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I shall give to
62 I| Hebron, in which dwelled Abraham and Isaac. And all the days
63 I| sight walked my fathers Abraham and Isaac, God that hath
64 I| the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and grow they
65 I| the land of Canaan which Abraham bought. And this said he
66 I| the double spelunke which Abraham had bought. Then when Jacob
67 I| land that he promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When
68 I| the promise he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and our
69 I| God of thy fathers, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God
70 I| of your fathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of
71 I| hath appeared to me, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of
72 I| Lord God that appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in my
73 I| and earth, of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and of Joseph
74 I| of thy people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob thy servants,
75 I| land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying:
76 II| mayst follow the blessing of Abraham in his seed. Then they went
77 II| to Tobias saying: God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of
78 III| wine in the presence of Abraham. Also on the same day Abraham
79 III| Abraham. Also on the same day Abraham offered Isaac his son. That
80 III| circumcised and be the children of Abraham, that ye shall be saved?
81 III| please him the child of Abraham which with Abraham shall
82 III| child of Abraham which with Abraham shall be saved. S. John

85 IV| surety with his own death. Abraham would have offered his son

87 V| was borne of angels into Abraham's bosom. Fifthly, they ought
88 VI| ne mortal, the bosom of Abraham shall receive me. And with
89 VII| pray in, and left it to Abraham and Ishmael, and at the
90 VII| manner as he did of Abel, of Abraham, and of Melchisedech. For
