 8       9, XVI|           when we heard it - then, forgetfulness is contained in the memory.
 9       9, XVI|     inferred that when we remember forgetfulness, it is not present to the
10       9, XVI|      through its image; because if forgetfulness were present through itself,
11       9, XVI|        clear to me that I remember forgetfulness? Should I affirm that what
12       9, XVI|       memory? Or should I say that forgetfulness is in my memory to the end
13       9, XVI|            I say that the image of forgetfulness is retained by my memory,
14       9, XVI|     retained by my memory, and not forgetfulness itself, when I remember
15       9, XVI|            absence. If, therefore, forgetfulness is retained in the memory
16       9, XVI|         image on the memory, since forgetfulness, by its presence, blots
17       9, XVI|       certain that I also remember forgetfulness, by which we remember that
