I| reigns the eternal hush~Of night that knows no seasons, her
I| lend themselves ~In chilly night, or when the sun is young,~
I| Dawn bedews the world. By nighttis best~To reap light
I| stubble, and parched fields by night;~For nights the suppling
I| headlong, and through murky night~Long trails of fire white-glistening
I| caught by guile of cloudless night.~When first the moon recalls
I| and wind together. Me that night~Let no man bid fare forth
I| godless age~Trembled for night eternal; at that time~Howbeit
I| were seen upon the dusk of night,~And cattle spake, portentous!
II| the cool dews of one brief night repair.~Land which the burrowing
II| what check~The lingering night retards. But if to these~
III| stars are ushering in the night.~But, yeaning ended, all
III| Oft their cattle day and night~Graze the whole month together,
III| them there,~There play the night out, and in festive glee~
III| in the daylight hours, at night they press;~What darkling
III| down amid the plain,~At night retire belated and alone;~
IV| home returning not till night was late,~With unbought
IV| rest they hush them for the night,~And welcome slumber laps
  IV| farewell:~Girt with enormous night I am borne away,~Outstretching
IV| but she~Wails the long night, and perched upon a spray~
