 1    I|  useless humour, or that the heat unlocks~New passages and
 2    I|   winnowing-time with mighty heat;~But if the shade with wealth
 3    I|       But ruddy Ceres in mid heat is mown, ~And in mid heat
 4    I|    heat is mown, ~And in mid heat the parched ears are bruised~
 5    I|   and more soft the summer’s heat?~When Spring the rain-bringer
 6   II|   interpose~‘Twixt frost and heat, and heaven’s relenting
 7  III|      parched, and earth with heat~Is gaping, forth he darts
 8  III|   good~To draw the enkindled heat therefrom, and pierce~Within
 9  III| season, with the full fierce heat~Of autumn glowed, and cattle-kindreds
10   IV|  bank may lure them from the heat,~Or bough befriend with
11   IV|      Congeals the honey, and heat resolves and thaws,~To bees
12   IV|      dust, and scorched with heat~Spits forth the dry grit
