 1    I| mountains hoar, and Zephyr’s breath~Unbinds the crumbling clod,
 2    I|      day;~And when the first breath of his panting steeds~On
 3   II|      when stiff with Boreas’ breath.~Then ice-bound winter locks
 4  III|     foam-flakes and pursuing breath;~So sweet is fame, so prized
 5  III|   still the north wind’s icy breath!~Nay, never sun disparts
 6  III|     cribs their livessweet breath resign;~Hence on the fawning
 7  III|   all fire, deep-drawn their breath,~At times groan-laboured:
 8   IV|  savory with its heavy-laden breath~Bloom round about, and violet-beds
 9   IV|   camp.~Let gardens with the breath of saffron flowers~Allure
10   IV|      Eurydice!’~With parting breath he called her, and the banks~
