1    I|     Grows shorter, and more soft the summer’s heat?~When
2    I|  light air winnowing still.~Soft then the voice of rooks
3   II|     to the warm west winds;~Soft moisture spreads oer all
4   II|   kine, and sylvan slumbers soft,~They lack not; lawns and
5  III| tone. ~First, for the sheep soft pencotes I decree~To browse
6  III|   the open heaven~To snatch soft slumber, nor on forest-ridge~
7  III|     tall wood’s shadow, nor soft sward may stir~That heart’
8   IV|     the oxen’s flesh,~Waxed soft in dissolution, hark! there
