1    I|  earth is green with tender growth of trees~And grass unbidden.
2    I| crop’s luxuriance, when its growth~First tops the furrows?
3    I|  Upsprings instead a shaggy growth of burrs~And caltrops; and
4    I|  lamp-oil sputtering with a growth~Of mouldy snuff-clots.~So
5   II|    for a sign the plenteous growth hard by~Of oleaster, and
6   II|    their first fresh infant growth,~Forbear their frailty,
7   IV|   For from one sod an ample growth it rears,~Itself all golden,
8   IV| whose horns~With two yearsgrowth are curling, and stop fast,~
