For which
reasons

Longinus

proconsul

which he had done as
quaestor

provincials

similar
conspiracies
against his
life

dependents
concurred

hatred
; who, though the
ministers
of his
rapine
, yet
hated
the
man
by whose
authority
they
committed
those
crimes

odium
still
increased
upon his
raising
a
fifth
legion
, which
added
to the
expense
and
burdens
of the
province

cavalry

augmented
to
three
thousand
, with
costly
ornaments
and
equipage
: nor was any
