 1      I,   250|                     250 Thawed from the Alpine slopes
 2     II,   250|                     250 Yet worse disasters may
 3    III,   250|                     250 Of Ninus great of yore;
 4     IV,   250|                     250 And spare, forsooth, like
 5      V,   250|                     250 Gaze on the wide expanse:
 6     VI,   250|                     250 This single warrior. But
 7    VII,   250|                     250 In ordered ranks to that
 8   VIII,   250|                     250 Draw to its fullest span
 9     IX,   250|                     250 Its counterfeit has perished.
10      X,   250|                     250 And fruitful Venus' star
