 2   3    |       this year's reflection—In truth, peace — expresses the conviction
 3   3    | enlightened by the splendour of truth, they naturally set out
 4   3    |     spirit and converted to the truth of peace''. 2 But what do
 5   3    |      what do those words, ''the truth of peace'', really mean?
 6   3    |        intrinsic and invincible truth of its own, and corresponds ''
 7   4    |     conforming human history—in truth, justice, freedom and love—
 8   4    |      elements which make up the truth of that good are missing.
 9   4    |    which ultimately enables the truth about man to be fully respected
10   5    |    systems wilfully twisted the truth and brought about the exploitation
11   5    | realization that the problem of truth and untruth is the concern
12   6    |   clashes with this fundamental truth. We need to regain an awareness
13   6    | possible, for each of them. The truth of peace calls upon everyone
14   6    |    Jesus defined himself as the Truth in person, and, in addressing
15   6    |       He has disclosed the full truth about humanity and about
16   6    |       to live ''in'' and ''by'' truth, since he alone is completely
17   6    |      and faithful. Jesus is the truth which gives us peace.~
18   7    |                          7. The truth of peace must also let its
19   7    |         the conviction that the truth of peace exists even in
20   7    |        intrinsic demands of the truth of peace. Precisely for
21   8    |         faithful heralds of the truth of peace.~
22   9    |                9. Nowadays, the truth of peace continues to be
23   9    |       own convictions about the truth. As he wrote: ''To try to
24   9    |      what we consider to be the truth is an offence against the
25  10    |       erroneous relationship to truth: the nihilist denies the
26  10    |    denies the very existence of truth, while the fundamentalist
27  10    |        a distortion of the full truth about God: nihilism denies
28  11    |      acknowledgment of the full truth of God is the first, indispensable
29  11    | condition for consolidating the truth of peace. God is Love which
30  11    |      the God who is inseparably truth and love, placing themselves
31  13    |      victors, only victims. The truth of peace requires that all —
32  15    |     built on the bedrock of the truth about God and the truth
33  15    |         truth about God and the truth about man. This truth alone
34  15    |       the truth about man. This truth alone can create a sensitivity
35  15    |     authentic peace rest on the truth about God and man.~
36  16    |     learn to build peace on the truth of a daily life inspired
37  16    |      fuller appreciation of the truth of peace. At the same time
38  16    | proclamation and witness to the truth of peace will be all the
39  16    |      guided by the light of the truth that sets man free (cf.
