Count Raffo gave me your letter of the 25th of this month. I received him with the respect due to his person and to your authoritative introduction. However, since the important matter he wanted to discuss with me is the business of the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda Fide, I could only suggest that he call on the distinguished Prefect of that Congregation, who is especially charged with looking after the Catholic missions abroad.

            However, I have no doubt that the final decision regarding the Capuchins in Tunis will be motivated only by what is best for religion and Church.
