With my first affectionate greetings as soon as you set foot on the Continent I would have liked to present my warmest congratulations for the great good you have done in your visit to Latin America and especially to our poor Italians. Due, however, to the many activities of the past days I have been anticipated by your goodness. While I thank you with all my heart for the fruitful work, that you have carried out down there only for the glory of God, I beg for you from the Lord the most abundant blessings. I will gladly see you, when you will be able to come to Rome without serious inconvenience, so I may treasure your advice and your holy proposals to better the moral conditions of those doubly loved children.
In the meantime, I thank you for your donation and reciprocate the wishes for the Holy days asking the sweetest consolations for you and your Diocese through the Apostolic Blessing, that I impart warmheartedly.
