Most Reverend Bishop, Dearest Friend:
I have waited until today for news of Your Excellency’s trip, but in vain. I understand well that after a considerable absence from the Diocese the work no doubt is now a hundred times greater. It is, therefore, very difficult to find a spare moment for friends. In any event, I hope you had a pleasant trip and I wait anxiously for news regarding the well known question of immigration.
Christmas is already here. The beginning of the New Year is not far. I send Your Excellency my most sincere congratulations and let us wish each other a new year of consolations and of glory for the Church.
