Most Rev. Excellency:

The letter of October 25 from Your Exec. was given to me by Rev. Ludovico Martinelli on November 2nd.

            I thank you very much for the loving consideration shown to our diocese by sending us a priest of so much experience. I have no doubt that his zeal and ability will produce some fruit in the Lord’s vineyard.

            I do not know the study about which Card. Martinelli was talking and which was done by a nephew of mine. There is a young lady, a daughter of a brother of mine, who has written several articles for the public newspaper. At times she sends some to me, but not many and I do not have them. If Your Excellency wishes, I can write her to ask her to send them to you if by chance she kept copies.
