1 Pre| Scripture itself, but that whatever the conclusion of independent 2 Pre| undertaking in the hope that whatever I might accomplish would 3 Pre| designate by the word person.~Whatever I have said on that point, 4 1 | through which all goods whatever are good? Or are they good 5 1 | through which all goods exist, whatever that being is. But who can 6 3 | certain Nature through which whatever is exists, and which exists 7 3 | is one and the same; but whatever is, apparently exists through 8 3 | by virtue of something.~Whatever is, then, does not exist 9 3 | being exists through itself. Whatever things there are else then, 10 3 | alone through itself. But whatever exists through another is 11 3 | and through which exists whatever is good or great, and, in 12 3 | or great, and, in short, whatever has any existence -- that 13 4 | they are so great. For, whatever is great through something 14 4 | and through which exists whatever is truly good, or great, 15 6 | then, that this Nature is whatever it is, through itself, and 16 6 | through some instrument. But, whatever exists in any of these three 17 6 | would be absurd to say that whatever is is nothing. And, moreover, 18 6 | is no doubt that either, whatever it is, it does not exist 19 6 | itself and from itself, it is whatever it is.~Finally, as to how 20 7 | already been shown, that whatever things are should exist 21 7 | material. Hence, seeing that whatever is exists through the supreme 22 8 | term nothing. For, from whatever source anything is created, 23 8 | if nothing is something, whatever has been created from nothing 24 8 | evidently follows, that whatever is created is created from 25 8 | apparently follows, that whatever has been created was created 26 8 | be nothing, is something, whatever I supposed to have been 27 10 | expression of any object whatever so nearly approaches the 28 11 | artisan's work. Therefore, whatever has been created through 29 11 | through that expression, while whatever has been created through 30 12 | is equally certain that whatever the supreme Substance created, 31 12 | nothing other than itself; and whatever.it created, it created through 32 13 | through the supreme Nature whatever is not identical with it 33 13 | say, it can be proved that whatever things live, live through 34 15 | through no other than itself, whatever there be that is good or 35 15 | greater and better than whatever is not what it is. But, 36 15 | diligently considers separately whatever there is that is not of 37 15 | Since, then, it is true of whatever else there is, that, if 38 15 | true that this substance is whatever is, in general, better than 39 15 | just, blessed, eternal, and whatever, in like manner, is absolutely 40 16 | it is good, or great or whatever it is at all, through itself 41 16 | of this supreme Nature.
