 1 Pre|     often and earnestly directed my thought to this end, and
 2 Pre|         seemed to be just within my reach, while again it wholly
 3 Pre|     while again it wholly evaded my mental vision, at last in
 4 Pre|     altogether, lest, by busying my mind to no purpose, it should
 5 Pre|          in the very conflict of my thoughts, the proof of which
 6 Pre|  understand what he believes. In my judgment, neither this work
 7 Pre|  apostolic authority --to prefix my name to these writings.
 8 1  |         and seek him. Speak now, my whole heart! speak now to
