I call upon all of you who wish indulgence
All good Christians, men and women:
It is the word of God that you go to mass,
For there is no man among us who is without sin;
Happy is he who remembers he is mortal
And who reflects constantly upon God,
For Christ will give him his place in heaven
Together with his children and his brethren.
