Poem

 1 1|       forth in front of me. I sat there staring at the short
 2 2|   motioning to a chair.~    I sat down. He took a packet of
 3 2|    moment on my long legs and sat down.~    "You have been
 4 3|   passed the note to Mira who sat on the bench behind us.~    
 5 4|  parents were having lunch. I sat down and watched the movements
 6 4|     the kitchen, as my mother sat silently at the table, as
 7 4|     on the plate, and as Mira sat at home at the women’s residence.~    "
 8 4|       s talking about."~    I sat down on a chair. It was
 9 5|      off his coat and hat and sat down on a chair without
10 5|    with an angry glance as he sat down again. He had not yet
11 5|     and convinced me?"~    He sat down and took up his spoon,
12 6| silently and sombrely.~    He sat down in the armchair across
13 6|    Burhan, wise, kind Burhan, sat in front of me.~    "I have
14 8|      again. I said nothing. I sat down at the table with my
15 8|  already covered in sweat. He sat up slowly on the sofa. The
16 8|     more audible than ever. I sat there counting the ticking.
