Dialogue

 1 Charm|     certainly thought him a very wise man.~Then I am quite certain
 2 Charm|      sense Hesiod, and any other wise man, may be reasonably supposed
 3 Charm|  reasonably supposed to call him wise who does his own work.~O
 4 Charm|    wisely or temperately, and be wise or temperate, but not know
 5 Charm|          man can be temperate or wise who does not know himself;
 6 Charm|         work, worthy of the name wise, does temperance or wisdom,
 7 Charm|          true, he said.~Then the wise or temperate man, and he
 8 Charm|       True.~Then wisdom or being wise appears to be not the knowledge
 9 Charm|       matter in this way: If the wise man or any other man wants
10 Charm|      medicine.~Exactly.~Then the wise man may indeed know that
11 Charm| knowledge; and therefore not the wise man; he would have to be
12 Charm|         a physician as well as a wise man.~Very true.~Then, assuredly,
13 Charm|          supposing at first, the wise man had been able to distinguish
14 Charm|         great advantage in being wise; for then we should never
15 Charm|          wanted to show that the wise man had knowledge of what
16 Charm|       rest assured that the more wise and temperate you are, the
