 1 Charm|          characteristically, (1) ‘Quietness.’ ‘But Temperance is a fine
 2 Charm|         fine and noble thing; and quietness in many or most cases is
 3 Charm|           variously defined to be quietness, modesty, doing our own
 4 Charm|         my opinion, temperance is quietness.~Are you right, Charmides?
 5 Charm|     sharpness are far better than quietness and slowness?~Yes.~And the
 6 Charm|     slowness, and inactivity, and quietness, are bad?~That is evident.~
 7 Charm|           all bodily actions, not quietness, but the greatest agility
 8 Charm|        reference to the body, not quietness, but quickness will be the
 9 Charm| cleverness of the soul, and not a quietness?~True.~And is it not best
10 Charm|          better than slowness and quietness?~Clearly they are.~Then
11 Charm|            Then temperance is not quietness, nor is the temperate life
