 1 Craty|        When he is arguing out of Homer, about the names of Hector’
 2 Craty|     admixture of quotations from Homer, and the spurious dialectic
 3 Craty|         then the interpreters of Homer, oi palaioi Omerikoi (compare
 4 Craty|      poets, and in particular of Homer, who distinguishes the names
 5 Craty|         which may be learnt from Homer. Does he not say that Hector’
 6 Craty|      wise, the men or the women? Homer evidently agreed with the
 7 Craty|      allegorical interpreters of Homer, who make the name equivalent
 8 Craty|           look fore and aft,’ as Homer remarks. Does not Cratylus
 9 Craty|      into the hearts of nations, Homer, Shakespear, Dante, the
10 Craty|        degrees the perfection of Homer and Plato. Yet we are far
11 Craty|      less majestic than those of Homer, Virgil, or Dante.~One of
