 1 Euthyd|   Dionysodorus, ‘there is no such thing as contradiction. When you
 2 Euthyd|           and I describe the same thing, or you describe one thing
 3 Euthyd|        thing, or you describe one thing and I describe another,
 4 Euthyd|         paradox? Is there no such thing as error, ignorance, falsehood?
 5 Euthyd|       exhibition; but tell me one thing,—can you make a good man
 6 Euthyd|         imagines that virtue is a thing which cannot be taught at
 7 Euthyd|      those who have or have not a thing?~Those who have not.~And
 8 Euthyd|      already, and saying the same thing twice over.~He asked what
 9 Euthyd|            And the wrong use of a thing is far worse than the non-use;
10 Euthyd|     possession and every use of a thing, knowledge is that which
11 Euthyd|    telling a lie, do you tell the thing of which you speak or not?~
12 Euthyd|        speak or not?~You tell the thing of which you speak.~And
13 Euthyd|          he who tells, tells that thing which he tells, and no other?~
14 Euthyd|            And that is a distinct thing apart from other things?~
15 Euthyd|   Certainly.~And he who says that thing says that which is?~Yes.~
16 Euthyd|            there never was such a thing.~Certainly there is, he
17 Euthyd|           are describing the same thing? Then we must surely be
18 Euthyd|       surely be speaking the same thing?~He assented.~Or when neither
19 Euthyd|           is speaking of the same thing? For then neither of us
20 Euthyd|          us says a word about the thing at all?~He granted that

22 Euthyd|          is that there is no such thing as falsehood; a man must
23 Euthyd|       said.~Then there is no such thing as false opinion?~No, he
24 Euthyd|       said.~Then there is no such thing as ignorance, or men who
25 Euthyd|     ignorance, if there be such a thing, a mistake of fact?~Certainly,
26 Euthyd|   ignorance, there can be no such thing as erroneous action, for
27 Euthyd|     question: If there is no such thing as error in deed, word,
28 Euthyd|          knows only how to make a thing, and not to use it when
29 Euthyd|         mean to say that the same thing cannot be and also not be;
30 Euthyd|       therefore, since I know one thing, that I know all, for I
31 Euthyd|          I said, what a wonderful thing, and what a great blessing!
32 Euthyd|         replied, if they know one thing.~O heavens, Dionysodorus,
33 Euthyd|          further tell us this one thing, and then we shall know
34 Euthyd|        the same, or sometimes one thing, and sometimes another thing?~
