 1  Gorg|         but he thinks that great want of manners is shown in bringing
 2  Gorg| According to his view, those who want nothing are not happy. ‘
 3  Gorg|        figure of a truth which I want to make you acknowledge,
 4  Gorg|        ashamed; but if I die for want of your flattering rhetoric,
 5  Gorg|       upon ourselves, because we want to restore the balance which
 6  Gorg|         we regret; when from any want of self-control we give
 7  Gorg|         Chaerephon—does Socrates want to hear Gorgias?~CHAEREPHON:
 8  Gorg|      answer our questions? for I want to hear from him what is
 9  Gorg|       Let Gorgias answer.’ Now I want you, Gorgias, to imagine
10  Gorg|        Quite so.~SOCRATES: Now I want to know about rhetoric in
11  Gorg|          is, that there is great want of manners in bringing the
12  Gorg|         wonder at me; but if you want to silence me, silence philosophy,
13  Gorg|        this is the point which I want to have cleared up. Are
14  Gorg|        not the men to faint from want of soul.~SOCRATES: See now,
15  Gorg|         SOCRATES: Then those who want nothing are not truly said
16  Gorg|        owing to a bad memory and want of faith. These notions
17  Gorg|          get enough of what they want?~CALLICLES: Are you not
18  Gorg|          the satisfaction of the want?~CALLICLES: Yes.~SOCRATES:
19  Gorg|         play, you, like a child, want to keep hold and will not
20  Gorg|       But who else is willing?—I want to finish the argument.~
21  Gorg|        that defence of which the want will make a man truly ridiculous?
22  Gorg|        yet as far as possible? I want to know whether you agree
23  Gorg|       ridiculous. O my friend! I want you to see that the noble
24  Gorg|          in the state; whereas I want you to think and see whether
25  Gorg| contention, but because I really want to know in what way you
26  Gorg|      desiring.~CALLICLES: Do you want me to agree with you?~SOCRATES:
27  Gorg|        alone; and if I died from want of ability to do so, that
