 1  Gorg|        be refuted as well as to refute,’ and very eager that Callicles
 2  Gorg|       ever true. Callicles must refute her, or he will never be
 3  Gorg|       true, and very willing to refute any one else who says what
 4  Gorg|       ready to be refuted as to refute; for I hold that this is
 5  Gorg|         like myself and Gorgias—refute and be refuted: for I suppose
 6  Gorg| mistaken, my friend Polus shall refute me. We may assume the existence
 7  Gorg|        states, unless Polus can refute Socrates, and prove to him
 8  Gorg|        not do as they will;—now refute me.~POLUS: Why, have you
 9  Gorg| Socrates, but might not a child refute that statement?~SOCRATES:
10  Gorg|     grateful to you if you will refute me and deliver me from my
11  Gorg|    foolishness. And I hope that refute me you will, and not weary
12  Gorg|      few days ago are enough to refute you, and to prove that many
13  Gorg|        fancy that a child might refute me, and by which I stand
14  Gorg|    friend, but because you will refute me after the manner which
15  Gorg|       one party think that they refute the other when they bring
16  Gorg|      miserable—are you going to refute this proposition also?~POLUS:
17  Gorg|         impossible; for who can refute the truth?~POLUS: What do
18  Gorg|      her yourself. Her you must refute, and either show, as I was
19  Gorg|     friend, take my advice, and refute no more:~‘Learn the philosophy
20  Gorg|       me, and if not, you shall refute and answer me. ‘Healthy,’
21  Gorg|   untrue you must interpose and refute me, for I do not speak from
