Dialogue

 1  Gorg|       the world. He has never heard the other side of the question,
 2  Gorg|     whom Socrates himself has heard speaking about the middle
 3  Gorg|     not deaf, and that he has heard that repeated many times,
 4  Gorg|  replies Socrates; and he has heard often enough, and would
 5  Gorg|     the cry of ingratitude is heard, which is most unreasonable;
 6  Gorg|  sitting in heaven, the voice heard by Ardiaeus, are features
 7  Gorg| certainly say, that you never heard a man use fewer words.~SOCRATES:
 8  Gorg|      I dare say that you have heard men singing at feasts the
 9  Gorg|       rhetoric. You must have heard, I think, that the docks
10  Gorg|    Themistocles; and I myself heard the speech of Pericles when
11  Gorg|  thinking at the time, when I heard you saying so, that rhetoric,
12  Gorg|       wondering, and you have heard her yourself. Her you must
13  Gorg|       four of you, and I once heard you advising with one another
14  Gorg|      very likely dead; I have heard a philosopher say that at
15  Gorg|     lately dead, and whom you heard yourself?~SOCRATES: Yes,
16  Gorg|       am not deaf, and I have heard that a great many times
17  Gorg|     and money.~CALLICLES: You heard that, Socrates, from the
18  Gorg|       Callicles, which I have heard and believe, I draw the
