Dialogue

 1  Gorg| saying, but I do not entirely believe you.’~That is because you
 2  Gorg|       is this only because we believe that they will obtain an
 3  Gorg|   wisdom, are of no value. We believe something to be for our
 4  Gorg|    more than half-inclined to believe them (compare Phaedrus).
 5  Gorg|    SOCRATES: And yet I do not believe that you really mean to
 6  Gorg|      you, Socrates, seriously believe what you are now saying
 7  Gorg|   questions—(do you seriously believe that there is any truth
 8  Gorg|       city. And if you do not believe me, and I show you the dagger,
 9  Gorg|       or private— but can you believe that this mere doing as
10  Gorg|       and every man do really believe, that to do is a greater
11  Gorg|   they should. This is what I believe that you mean (and you must
12  Gorg|     professed statesman is, I believe, very much like that of
13  Gorg|   fable only, but which, as I believe, is a true tale, for I mean
14  Gorg|        which I have heard and believe, I draw the following inferences:—
15  Gorg|  fearful examples, most, as I believe, are taken from the class
