1  Gorg|          avoid the last must be a ruler, or the friend of a ruler;
2  Gorg|         ruler, or the friend of a ruler; and to be the friend he
3  Gorg|          must be the equal of the ruler, and must also resemble
4  Gorg| unprepared for them; but like the Ruler of the Universe Himself,
5  Gorg|           of Perdiccas is now the ruler of Macedonia?~SOCRATES:
6  Gorg|         that every man is his own ruler; but perhaps you think that
7  Gorg|        and master of himself, and ruler of his own pleasures and
8  Gorg|      enemies, even though he be a ruler in his city? Nay, Socrates,
