 1 Lache|  from Socrates, because his actions, in the true Dorian mode,
 2 Lache|   Dorian mode’ of words and actions; for their words are all
 3 Lache|   confusion, although their actions are courageous. Still they
 4 Lache|    only acquainted with his actions. Laches is the admirer of
 5 Lache|  faithful witnesses and for actions like those which they praise.
 6 Lache|  his words. But a man whose actions do not agree with his words
 7 Lache|   and in many other similar actions, or rather which we possess
 8 Lache|    by the term ‘courageous’ actions which I call rash;—my courageous
 9 Lache|    call rash;—my courageous actions are wise actions.~LACHES:
