1 Lache|    Nicias says, how little he knows the man, who will certainly
2 Lache|         Laches thinks that he knows this: (1) ‘He is courageous
3 Lache|     and is quite sure that he knows what courage is, if he could
4 Lache|     terrible.’ ‘But every man knows the things to be dreaded
5 Lache|     and wisely calculates and knows that others will help him,
6 Lache|    Laches, that the physician knows whether health or disease
7 Lache| physician or any other artist knows this, or any one indeed,
8 Lache|      degree of wisdom that he knows things which but a few human
9 Lache|    the soothsayer, because he knows better what is happening
